In 2025, Salem celebrated an incredible milestone — 275 years since the town was founded in 1750.
Throughout the year, Salem’s 275th Anniversary Commission brought the community together through special events celebrating the town’s history and community spirit.
On August 9, Field of Dreams joined the celebration by hosting part of Salembration!, Salem’s premier 275th-anniversary event.
For this special year, Field of Dreams teamed up with the Salem 275th Anniversary Commission, with Salembration taking the place of the park’s annual Family Fun Day.
Field of Dreams has always been about bringing people together.
Salembration continued that tradition by welcoming the Salem community to spend an afternoon together at the park — celebrating the town we share and the people who make it special.
There could hardly be a more fitting place to celebrate Salem.
Field of Dreams itself exists because volunteers and supporters came together around an idea: create a place where families and neighbors could connect.
Salembration carried that same spirit forward — gathering the community in a park that was built by the community.
Salembration was a special chapter in Salem’s story, but community gatherings at Field of Dreams continue throughout the year.
From summer concerts and movie nights to Family Fun Day and other special events, there’s always another opportunity to spend time together at the park.
The current 2026 calendar includes the return of Family Fun Day on August 22, 2026.
